I stood on the road the other day waiting for the traffic lights to turn into green, when I noticed an old lady: she had deep wrinkles on her face, her palm over her eyes, hiding from the Sun, and also waiting for the lights to change.
She reminded me of my grandma – patient, calm and stable – at least she was like that with us, grandchildren.
In Croatia there is an old saying "I take the road, and you the path to the woods". We all feel like that sometimes, right?
In those situations it seems we, and our interlocutor are from different Worlds, not speaking the same language, or going in the same direction.
I talked the other day with a friend about sport, and I got surprised when suddenly she said "It is easy for you, you are alone, but I have a family".
At first I wasn’t sure if she is trying to undermine my life or was this just an excuse?
While driving the other day I red a sign - Scrap Mental?! The right sign was of course – Metal!
Playing with these words I started thinking if we ever evaluate of our mental "waste"? Garbage is taken out on regular basis. Our home must be nice, neat and clean so that we can recover and rest. If garbage gets to the stinking point flies would come... we don't ignore situations like this, right?
Lately I've been watching on our TV Catholics praying, in front of hospitals, for women who decided to get an abortion.
This stigmatized attitude towards these women make them feel even more guilt, sadness, and anxiety.
Savršenstvo, toliko često ga tražimo, želimo postići kroz rad, odnose….
No što je savršenstvo?
